Sam and Mita
Kiersten and Sam
Marissa K. and Sam (Marissa and I have been buddies since 8th grade and we graduated from 8th Grade, High School and College together!)
Sam and Titi Lugu, Uncle Joe and Kiersten
Lola Rosado. She is an infamous Rosado and an addition that is s-l-o-w-l-y growing on me. She's cute, though, right?
I am back!
We have been going pretty full force this spring. I have been spring cleaning, pondering a move, visiting with family and taking care of little Sambo...
Spring Cleaning has been going well - it has involved cleaning out extra stuff that we don't need or use and also has incorporated moving through Sam's baby stuff.
It's bittersweet, that is for sure. I can't believe how quickly time has passed. Last year at this time he was just a helpless baby!
Through my spring cleaning mission I have encountered a book recommended by my friend Jen. It's called It's All Too Much: An Easy Plan for Living a Richer Life with Less Stuff, by Peter Walsh. I am going to read it this weekend and I am sure that it will give me more fuel to clean. The fun part of this all is that at the end I get to participate in a garage sale with my girlfriends and make a little extra cash for home improvement efforts! I can't wait.
Considering a move has been quite the ordeal and I am glad to put that out of mind. I don't want to go into the details here on the blog, but let's just say it was a roller coaster ride that couldn't end soon enough! I am glad to stay here in Knoxville - which is a hilarious statement to my friends who saw me through getting adjusted to living here.
Anyway, we were in Chicago last week celebrating Mother's Day and visiting with family and friends. It was so great to catch up with everyone and eat, eat, eat! There is nothing like Jay's Italian Beef, Pete's Pizza and Mom's Rice and Beans!!!
As you can see, there were many fun moments in Chicago.
There is much more to share, but I will piece it all together in time!
I will be back soon...

It was great to see you and the family!
I have seen Peter Walsh on Oprah before and everything he says makes so much sense.
Darcie is taking a scrapping class at school and is really getting into it so we are going to the store on Harlem after church to pick some things up. Also, I have a cousin who is getting married on 7/11 (funny huh?) and her sister wants to make thank you bridal shower cards! Wish us luck as we try to do this on Saturday afternoon...hopefully it doesnt run into the evening hours. :~)
As always, thanks for sharing pictures!
Oh and I heart the picture of Mita and Samuel. What a blessed little boy....he is loved by so many!!
You know it would be great if there was some evidence that Sam and I are related. I see a Sam pic with everyone, a LOLA pic, but none of your brother. Maybe I was adopted and not Marissa.
